If you can, get a hold of the book Integrity by Henry Cloud. It is one of the best books I’ve read, and re-reading it now.

Cloud looks at integrity not just as someone who has moral excellence, but as a wholeness of the person. Integrity comes from the word integer, a whole number.

Biblically, holiness also means wholeness.

Cloud’s book is one that is hard to find in Singapore, but I found one at SKS.

No worries – all was forgiven in that moment already when the incidence happened. My lesson from the experience was also learnt and I believe that’s a great thing. In the midst of someone’s error, I can still reap a lesson from it. And to me, that’s priceless.

Indeed, when I first heard this song, I was also wondering how fair it is to expect people to change … but I realised also that the premise for a song like this serves as a clear reminder of believing we each have a unique ‘thumbprint’ and to change that thumbprint means changing all the things that are truly ‘us’ and all that’s real. Without being real in the lives we lead and our daily walk, it’s hard to resist the temptation to change just for the sake of doing so. ‘Staying the same’ to me also means treasuring our true heart and not be easily swayed by the sometimes, undisciplined ways of this world. We still must keep the greater purpose of being better people otherwise life would have very little meaning, but not to the expense of ‘losing ourselves’ along the way. And that’s what ’stay the same’ means at the end of the day.

Thank you for your encouragement – it’s when we are put through certain circumstances that we begin to truly grow… although we are often unaware of why certain seasons come by for us, upon reflection, we realise there was a greater purpose for those moments. So living life and taking things as they come is really telling the world ‘ Now is My Time!’ … to Your Time my friend.

Your expansion of DREAM is great. Again, the importance of “now” is rightly said. In times of despair, the shove comes as push, and we are cornered to take action. That’s when we grow.
