Stay with your Commitments

I got up really early this morning to be early for another coaching session but to my dismay, the person had forgotten our appointment. Therefore, I took time out, since I was already there at Vivo City, and had a drink to reflect on my ‘learns’ for the day.

I asked myself, how often I had more or less committed to something or someone and a week later, I had forgotten. I don’t claim to be perfect and I don’t think anyone should – but the morning’s episode taught me that when I think it’s okay to say ‘never mind’ to missed appointments or promises, I need to think about the person on the other side … how are they feeling, considering they took the time and effort to be there to meet me?

Makes me wonder – it’s tiring many times and takes a lot of energy to keep to our commitments – not sure about you but that’s how I feel each time I promise something or someone. How do you feel when it’s time to stay with your commitments? Do you make a 100% effort to stay with it or find the next easiest way out of it? Do you talk yourself out of it when convenient? Are your promises made to be kept or broken whenever you feel like it?

Cheers for the day!

    • Hi Kaya

No worries – all was forgiven in that moment already when the incidence happened. My lesson from the experience was also learnt and I believe that’s a great thing. In the midst of someone’s error, I can still reap a lesson from it. And to me, that’s priceless.

To your continuous growth my friend.
